William "Bill" Nicholson, Ph.D
Dr. William H. Nicholson has an extensive background in the national security, law enforcement, and cybersecurity organizations and has held numerous leadership positions throughout his career. He served in the Department of the Air Force for 22 years and has served in civilian law enforcement rolls with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI).
He is working on publishing articles and authoring a book due out in 2026.
Dr. Nicholson’s extensive work in cybersecurity resiliency initiatives with national laboratories and U.S. Government think-tanks serve to protect the bedrock of our society, critical infrastructure, from foreign and domestic actors attempting a cyber war. Dr. Nicholson has a PhD from Liberty University in Criminal Justice and National Security (2025); EMBA from University of New Mexico (2015); MS from University of New Haven in National Security and Public Safety (2010); and BS from American Military University in Law Enforcement Intelligence (2008).
Dr. Nicholson is currently an adjunct professor with the University of New Mexico Anderson School of Business and the Global National Security Policy Institute where he lectures on topics relating to cybersecurity.
Larry "Nick" Nicholson, Ph.D
Dr. Larry G. "Nick" Nicholson, Ph.D, is a seasoned professional with a distinguished 31-year career in law enforcement and leadership consulting for both public and private sectors. He has held prestigious positions such as the FBI’s Program Manager for Intelligence Analyst Training, Special Assistant to the FBI Assistant Director, and as an FBI National Academy Leadership Instructor. He directed the Center for Civil Force Protection and served as a Special Agent in Charge for the U.S. Department of Energy, as well as Bureau Chief for the New Mexico Department of Public Safety.
Dr. Nicholson has delivered over 600 programs to professionals from a diverse array of countries, including the United States, Japan, Sweden, United Kingdom, Mexico, China, Taiwan, the Former Soviet Union, Ukraine, Canada, Bulgaria, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Austria, Uganda, and Germany. His areas of expertise encompass Leadership, Behavioral Issues in Organizational Development, and he is a Certified Executive Coach, DISC Assessment Trainer and Consultant, as well as proficient in utilizing the VIA Character Strengths Survey.
An accomplished author, he has published several articles and co-authored four books, including "Instructor Development Training for Law Enforcement" and "Executive Protection Handbook." His exemplary work has earned him national recognition, including Federal Service Awards and the Secretary of Energy’s Quality Award. Dr. Nicholson holds a Ph.D. in Police Administration from St. John's University and has advanced certifications from the University of Pennsylvania and Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. An advocate of lifelong learning, he aligns with Mark Twain's belief, There is nothing training cannot do. Nothing is above its reach.
